Truly excellent addition Stefan. My only suggestion is I'd like to see a link to this on the home page, maybe near to "Latest releases".
Thank you for your work on this.
Very nice and usefull. Can't wait to get 8.3 in production :)
Sometimes you link to a page with a one-line explanation, sometimes to a manual page. It would be better to allways link to the oneliner explanation (and keep that cool link hover text), which would contain the link to a manual page where possible.
That would satify both knowledgable and clueless users.
Now for some pointless statistics:
7.4: 26 yes
8.0: +13 yes
8.1: +19 yes +2 obsolete
8.2: +19 yes +1 obsolete
8.3: +38 yes +2 obsolete
hmm ... it is currently linked in from "about" - I don't think it is appropriate for the main page but we will see how that evolves.
the link vs. manual point is a good one will have to think ab bit about it (some items are rather hard to explain in just a few words so I simply referenced the manual).
As for the statistics - I have not actually considered to read the matrix that way.
But yeah it is a rather interesting tidbit though the the large number for 8.3 is most likely explained by the fact that this listing got generated in the last few months which were dominated by 8.3 development.
